Basic introduction
CPSIA is the Security Improvement Act that was signed by US President Bush on August 14, 2008. The decree is the toughest consumer protection bill since the establishment of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in 1972. In addition to the stricter requirements for lead content in children's products, the new bill also makes new regulations on the content of phthalates, which are harmful substances in toys and child care products. In addition, the bill requires a public database on consumer product safety.

Banned Products
Starting 180 days after the regulations come into effect (February 10, 2009), it is illegal for anyone to provide the following products
--- Production and sale of any children's toys or children containing di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate DEHP, dibutyl phthalate DBP or benzyl phthalate BBP at a concentration higher than 0.1% Conservation items are illegal
--- Prohibit the production or sale of diisononyl phthalate DINP, diisodecyl phthalate DIDP or dioctyl phthalate DnOP in a transition period Children playing in the mouth
